Whenever I walk into a room, I think about how beautiful it could be. How would I arrange the furniture? Which colour would I paint the walls?
Since childhood, I have been interested in design, fascinated by the placement, colours, textures, and aesthetic appeal of everyday objects. As a teenager, my interests expanded to include home decor: I was always rearranging the furniture in my tiny 6' x 9' bedroom. I learned that my longstanding passion for the visual blended well with my growing passion for decorating. Since then, I have also studied interior design, architecture, and decor.
In 2010 I graduated with honours from Sheridan College, with a diploma in interior decorating. Following my graduation, I acquired my staging certificate and started my own part time colour consulting and decorating company, Riley Interiors. For four years, I worked with a steady clientele base before deciding to pursue other challenges including eighteen months as a lead stager for Toronto staging company, Stage Right. Most recently, I spent seventeen months as a colour chart designer for a Toronto based boutique condo developer, North Drive, where I worked on 79 units and broadened my skills in home finishes, space planning, and interior design.
My style blends eclectic, modern, rustic and vintage; but I am versatile in many styles, including contemporary, traditional and transitional. I will always meet the requirements and style preferences of my clients; I have a true passion for design and am always looking for new ways to gain more knowledge and experience in this exciting and dynamic industry.
